Barack Obama and Sir David Attenborough to look in Queen Elizabeth II BBC documentary

A brand new BBC One documentary, “Queen Elizabeth II: Her Story, Our Century,” will characteristic contributions from Dame Helen Mirren, Barack Obama, and Sir David Attenborough. The one-hour movie is about to commemorate what would have been the late monarch’s a centesimal birthday, exploring a century of profound change and transformation throughout Britain and the world by her exceptional life.

Queen Elizabeth II died on September 8, 2022 aged 96 and was the nation’s longest-reigning monarch, serving as head of state for greater than 70 years.

From the Blitz to the 2012 London Olympics, she lived by and witnessed a variety of modifications internationally, and for some turned a logo of stability.

The documentary will probably be instructed by a mix of archive footage and new interviews, together with contributions from Dame Helen, Mr Obama and Sir David, and actress Dame Sheila Hancock and Queen Camilla – who will provide a variety of private reminiscences of her.

Catherine Catton, head of factual leisure and occasions, mentioned: “Queen Elizabeth II: Her Story, Our Century explores the lifetime of her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by the lens of a century of change and provides an essential reflection on how fashionable Britain has been formed.”

Queen Elizabeth II: Her Story, Our Century will air on BBC One and iPlayer with transmission particulars to be introduced.
